You sound like you are about where i was a couple of months ago before i started to read these posts. Here is the deal i also have a K7 900 that is overclocked to 1050 in my Abit ka7. There are two ways to Oc K7s and only one really works well the other really doesnt work that well with the slot athalons. The real way to do it is to go out and get your self a Gold finger Device. This is a "Bridge" basically that unlocks your multiplier (like the pencil trick on tbirds) which the real way to oc slot athalons, but keep in mind you have to pull the black casing off to do that. The other option is to slowly bump up the pci/fsb until hte machine becomes unstable. Then up the voltage and watch the temp. Try to keep it under or around 40 deg C under load. Athalons dont really like this like pentiums do so dont over do it. Allittle is ok but never above 110. I actually got mine to run at 112 but that is before i know what i was doing and I now know that you can really foul up your Perifs this way so watch your self. Im not real sure about the tyan board though it should be in bios under cpu setting but im not sure if the tyan bios supports that.
Wish you luck and make sure to watch the cpu and board temps.
