OH to answer your question it all looks alright except for the videocard... much to slow compared to the rest of the system

I'd go for an Abit NF7-S revision2 for the motherboard.

if you be playing 3d games dont get the radeon 7500, get something like a radeon 9500 pro instead.

I would switch up to an Nforce motherboard and swap out the vid card for something better. Everything else seems great.

I would also suggest going with and nforce2 board instead of the current one.
You may want to go with a separate pci tv card to retain the tv functions, and get a more powerful video card. If you're going to be doing any sort of gaming, the 7500 is going to be underpowered. (I would suggest a GF4 ti4200 at the minimum)
I personally would consider going with a cheaper sound card, as there are several out there with equal or superior sound capabilities for a lesser price, assuming you don't need any extras that are included with the card.
...and since you DID post in the cooling section, I would suggest going with a cheaper processor, getting a nice heatsink, and cranking it. It's quite possible to reach similar performance of that 2800+ with a good 1700+ and good cooling. (the 200$ price difference is a major bonus too)

On another note, you may want to spend more money on your peripherals. A good sound card with 15$ speakers isn't exactly great, and a better mouse might be a good idea.

This is all assuming you're looking for a gaming machine. If this is just going to be a word processing/tv/surfing machine, get a cheaper processor and sound card, get a pci tv card and use onboard video on on nforce2 board.

Don't forget your drives and cooling. ;)

I'd try to find out exactly what "Retail" means. Ram can make or break a system. Be a real shame to have a mean machine like that, and generic crap ram

OMG, don't copy and paste your entire order list in here. All you needed for us to check are the core components (CPU, MB, RAM, HD)... We don't neeed to know if your keyboard is going to work with your speakers...

Okay...I'll still cover all bases...
-You want an nForce2 motherboard. nForce2 is the best chipset around right now for AMD platforms. Epox 8RDA+, Abit NF-7S, ans Asus A7N8 are all good motherboards to consider.
-If you get a cheaper processor and overclock it you can pull out a 2800+ speed rating but get better performance out of it (Higher FSB=better performance). I have my 2100+ running at 2800+ rated speeds.
-Upgrade your Video card to a 9500 Pro (manufactured by Sapphire). It's much better for graphical use.
-I don't see why you need surround sound, but if that's what you want, then I don't see a problem with that card.
-You want to make sure you get name brand RAM (Corsair, Kingston, Micron/Crucial).
Everything else is fine. Where are you getting those prices, though?
