I just recently decided that I was going to move my OS partition over to my faster 8 meg 160 gig HD. Everything went ok, and it booted, I even changed the drive letter to C (of coarse I didn't format my old HD yet just in case, and it is a good thing I didn't) Anyway, I was playing some music the other day and I noticed that it was chopping up every once and a while. I did several tests trying to find out why it was doing this but couldn't find anything! It wasn't just one song either, it was everything that came out of my sound card (onboard btw) and out my speakers. Everytime I play any song, it will chop at random places. It ALWAYS chops, but just not at the same time in the music, (like I said, random ) I tried completley uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, and this failed as well. I tryed screwing around with my bios settings, since it is onboard, and nothing. Well I finally decided to try booting back to my old partition and I played a song 2 times in a row with NO chopping! I don't know what is going on! It is an AC'97 Sound chip, or something like that. If anyone has had this problem before or knows whats going on, please let me know. Thanks!

There's a seperate forum for that, mate. Move it there first.

I did post this there, but then I thought that maybe it wasn't the right place to post it. So I tried posting it here. It is a sound problem after all. But now I see that this probably isn't the right place for it, sorry :D
