Compaq Motherboard

I have a Compaq 5304 and I have a k6-2 500 installed. Can I overclock this? I have heard my mobo would not let me. Please help. THX.

If you are going to try, get into your BIOS and see if you can adjust the FSB and/or the voltage. If you can't do either forget it. The K6-2 is not a particularly good overclocker to begin with.

I have the same pc. Just open your case and set it to 5.5x there will be 8 switches on the multiplier. Turn switches 1 and 2 off. Leave 3 on.

And your computer should run fine.

HAHA you have a COMPAQ. Sorry, but i had to suffer with one of thos for 2 years. Blasted thing didn't even have a BIOS. I agree build your own.
