large/small pga

are there two different pga's for the P4...a friend of mine was saying there is a large pin grid array and a small pin grid array? He said some P4's are the same size as athlons...LPGA and the SPGA's are smaller than athlons...i've only seen small pin grid array....whats going on whats the truth

The first P4's came in the socket 423 and now the later ones come as socket 478.

is one larger than the other one? is one physically larger than the other...total package not just the core

yes one has 423 pins spread out about 2"x2" versus 478 on about 1"x1"
