Just brought me an Abit KT7-RAID with 256mb PC133 CAS 2 micron memory. I (OC) my motherboard cpu 1000mhz too 1100mhz. Close the L1 bridge and just bump up the multiplier from 10.0 to 11.0 and increase the core voltage from 1.70 too 1.75. Cpu is rock solid for 12 hours and still going strong under Windows ME. Ran a few stress test to see if it would crash or lock up and still nothing yet. Straight with a standard quality heatsink fan and added 2 more case fan too it .

I want to try 1200mhz but that's kind of pushing it i think. Planing on getting an Alpha PEP66t heatsink fan and 1 more case fan to see if i can get this cpu you cooler. Any suggestion on what i should do to get too 1200mhz magic. should i increase the FSB or the multiplier.?? help...

If you want to hit 1200 or around that area, you are definitely going to need to increase the voltage of the cpu...I'd say go with 1.85 or at whatever you're motherboard maxes out. Also, if you stick to the 11x frequency multiplier and ramp up the fsb a bit...say to 109 or 110, you'll see a performance increase over just increasing the multiplier to 12x--higher bandwith = higher performance.

it took me a little while to break the 1200 mark cooling is the key though after I bought my hedgehog and cooled my tbird down I went over the 1200 mark

I would suggest going slow bump every thing a little and run rc5 or seti for 24 hours and then do it again

abit also has two types of FSB settings the first setting increases' the speed to every thing and the second increases the data transfer between the cpu and chip set only this allows' you to take it easy on your peripherals it would be a shame to burn up a brand new video card
