Hello

I just got my new Alpha Pal 6035 Heatsink and fan. I tryed to put it on my tbird 800 and asus A7V motherboard. I put it on there good to go boot up and it wont boot past Win98 screen or if it does it goes to a black screen then restarts?? Whats going on here? I put my stock fan back on and it works fine. Is there too much presure on the new alpha pal heatsink clip?? Please someone help me out.

Thanks

They gave me little black pads for feet for the Pentium use only. I have been reading up and your not supposed to put those pads on there so i didnt put them on there.

So no there are not feet on the bottom of the heatsink.

Thanks for any advice

ok cool
well take the board out
and mount the heatsink on the cpu before putting it back in the case
look and make sure there is no gaps or sitting crooked

Alright

No gaps between the heatsink and the CPUs Core?
If thats what you mean then there is no gap there because the Heatsink is on there pretty tightly.

As for crooked it is alittle crooked but i cannot get it to straighten out how can i straighten it??

How much should i put the intake cover on just slightly on there or put it down all the way till it touchs the Heatsink fins?

Does that have anything to do with it being crooked?

And why did my computer slow down on the boots now? it takes so long to boot ?

Thanks again
