I just got a Viewsonic a90f+ (19inch black and silver lining) Well for some reason every time I set the width of the screen and the height as well it reverts back a little after a reboot. I mean when I set it to the max then it just comes back and the bottom has a centimeter gap? Defective??

I have the same problem with my 17" NEC 1760V.
When I first booted up after building the computer, and even after a fresh install, Microsoft automatically adjusted everything and I got maximum Monitor Coverage. After I installed the ATI Drivers for my 9500 Pro, my Monitor lost about 1/4 inch on the right side, and about an 1/8th on the left. I can't figure it out.
I've tried everything, so I've learned to live with it. Maybe one of these days I'll call up NEC and see if they can help, *lol*.

I think there should be adjustments on the monitor to adjust the screen width height, and other factors. Like i the screen is off center you can move it, if it is twisted (top bigger than the bottom) you can adjust it, etc. So when you adjust your resolution and that happens...there should be buttons on the monitor to adjust that sort of thing.

Thanks, Nevandal. Wow, am I an idiot or what? Shhhh, don't answer that! I have been having these monitor problems since I built my computer. I even made a few posts about them, but I never got such a simple, good answer, *lol*. (er...Maybe I didn't listen at the time...) There was a button on the Monitor, and I was able to move the screen. Still a tiny little shaving off the left, but that 1/4 inch on the right is gone. THANK YOU! (This will go down as one of my most embarassing forum moments)

Alright well minees still happens after I adjust them. I mean I install everything drivers and setup the res . then I change the width and height. Then for some reason the bottom part of the screen always moves up a centimeter.

Hmm...I really don't know what to say. And I'd have to see it happen because I'm not really sure what you mean.

Make sure you are getting the latest drivers from the internet too...the ones on a disk that came with the hardware are probably already outdated.

Might want to look in your book that came with the Monitor for a phone number and call them. I'm sure they will know what's up, and you will be able to fix your problem.
