If I'm right, 131f is about 55C. You won't kill the chip with that temperature, but if you want to overclock it you'll need to get cooler. The first place to start is case cooling - a couple of large fans, one sucking in and one blowing out, will help tremendously. Then get a good heatsink, like the Alpha PEP66 or PAL6035, or a globalwin FOP38 (it's LOUD though!). If you're going to overclock you shouldn't let your temps get above 50 (even 60C is still 'safe' in that it won't kill your chip, but it's not exactly comfortable). Ideally you want to be 45C or lower.
With adequate cooling you should be able to take that tbird to at least 1100, probably 1150 - higher will definitely need very good cooling though.
ok well now i have everthing fig. out on my puter its at 1000 and the core temp is at 51c i try to overclock but everthing over 106 cpu freq crashes.. why i have pc 133 bus ram a a7v with the lates updated on 2000 pro why does it crash and what is the right freq. .setting so set with out crashing..

For a decent overclock, that std fan/heatsink is the first to go. Research the fans Rob Cork suggested, and also look at the Super Orb, as I saw a new review which opened up some more questions, making it a good value for money leading contender. Still not the best for overclock though.
Are you using multiplier adjustments? If not, unlock your CPU, and do it right. If you are thinking about using those 5 1/4 inch bay fans as coolers, they are better than nothing, but not by much. Much better adding more case fans.
Thanks All for the help i am geting like 3 pci slot blowers tomorrow and some more case fans i am getting ride of my 512 133bus ram and get the 150 insteade i think it will help alot. ya i also can go the same thing if i set it on the board it rund fine at 1100 but if i set it in the bios it freezes about winboot at 1090 so i don't get it maybe i am doing something wrong or smoking or much or something

Yes!! Gotta put that in the new KT133A board. Raise the FSB to 140 or 150 and live large.

Question people I have the a7v amd 1000 blue core with 133 bus ram I didn't get the 150 yet but I am wondering is there a difference if U set it by jumpers or by the bios cuz when I did it with the jumpers it keep my dram freq. at 133 but if I clock it in the bios its always goes up to like EX: 105 cpu freq. setting it will read like 144 or something like that but I am wondering my new ram I am getting it should solve the problems I am having. so what would be better jumpers or bios or can U do both...please help and thanks for all the help so far
