It was a link to some stupid "recruiting" game that tends to flood tons of forums. But the people that post the link usually lie and call it something else, which associates it with Spam. I think the person that gets the most recruits wins an Xbox or something else. So they create useless accounts on forums, never intending to use them, except to post the link to their game.

EDIT: at the rangers glade Everwars and Outwars are added tot he bad word filter so when people try to link to them their link looks like this www.******.com/whatever/blah/thisgamesucks.htm
