I did the volt mod to get the last 90MHz :-)

An easier way would be to drop your temps - a 5C drop would probably be enough to get that gig. How's your cooling at the moment?

I got Mushkin 150 that I'll put in you maybe right about the chip hitting top end, but untill i put Mushkin in my ole Plll 500 it got windows protection errors then hit 750 with no problem at 40 degrees with air cooling...that thang still rocks...step-son has it now at his dad's house, course he has my other ole machine in his room Plll 700 running 840 120x7, air cooled alpha....Just wondering Afterdark is that your only machine????.....lmao i keep building 'em and settin 'em aside....:)

well you runnin a lot faster than me... but my unc has spent $8000 on his comp, two p4's running it 3150mhz ( 3148 but you gotta make yourself look good )

if i knew how he did it i'd have one...

i have no idea what he's got... he won't say anything other than hes over 3gig.
i think it sounds a bit sus, but hes the only guy i know who could do it.

( in 1992 when we had a 486 at 66mhz, he was cruisin on 400mhz!, he's always been miles ahead and i wouldn't be surprised if he got 4000 in the near future )

he's got two p4s, running in SMP mode? That's uh, impossible, since intel hasn't even enabled smp for the p4 yet, and likely won't until the 3rd quarter.

look, i'm not trying to make myself sound good or anything, my uncles been working with comps since before i was born, he's a computer scientist, and he may or may not have two p4's runnining at over 3000mhz, whatever his setup is i know he has two cpu's and i have never seen a computer run half as fast as his ( it puts the tbird 800 to shame :( ). it has takin him 4 months to build, and i can't wait to see what he builds next.

= Kat, i'll see if he's got some pics to post. i wouldn't hold my breath though.
