ight over the past few months i have come up with a few questions i would love to have answered, here we go

1. Is it better to burn-in with less cooling or more cooling? or what?

2. How do you find out the RPM of a fan that only connects to power?

3. what should be the temperature of my mobo and my CPU and how can i find out my video card one?

4. does increasing the FSB also increase memory, video card, sound card performance or only CPU?

5. what's the most affordablel, good video card? and if anyone knows, what's the clock speed of a GeForce2 (MMX?) (Ti?)420, and what's the highest thing possible for clock speed with powerstrip on it? (since i can get one for like $20 canadian) (for whats the most affordable video card i dont want to have to pay over $300, im considering radeon 9500pro but it's too much right now, this is all CANADIAN dollars)

peace.

better cooling for burning in

I don't think you can find the rpm

depends on the mobo and CPU

it CAN increase the CPU and sometimes the memory

the most affordable, and yet still decent card would either be the radeon 8500le 128mb, or the ggeforce 4 ti 4200 128mb.

1- as sandman001 said

2- if not directly connected on mobo, no chance at all

3- ASUS use to have the asusprobe program with AMD system but i don't know for P4 system. This little utility show you the fans speed connected to your motherboard, your mobo temp and your CPU temp. For your vid card, you need to have a probe to find it (i'm not sure but i think some card have it integred)

4- if your clock is not locked like on a nforce2 chipset mobo (and that's not your case), higher FSB result of a higher mem and pci/agp speed

5- big diff between MX card and Ti. I use to have the MX 32mb and you can push it a bit if you have a good cooling (i just put a fan on the passive HS). The Ti is more overclockable. For a decent one, as sandman001 said.

Most likely, your either talking about teh Geforce4mx420, or the Geforce 4 ti 4200. DO NOT GET THE MX. I repeat, DO NOT GET ANYTHING MX. the Ti is a good card, at a good price.

how's the GF3 Ti 200 (or whatever u have) on FPS for counter strike at 800x600 res and 1200x1024 and if u have GTA3 or GTA:VC, let me know at 800x600 res and 1200x1024 what the FPS is, i just want a decent video card that can get me atleast 100fps or more on GTA3 and VC and counter-strike on 800x600 or higher res

The GF4 TI4200 shown here;

http://www.thecomputercenter.com/links/video.htm

Pretty good price but I haven't checked the vendor out yet.
As to the modem, it won't require a burn-in.

got a good friend of mine, a multi-millionair, shipping me a 9700pro :) for FREE :D so i'll be needing some info on that. anyone know what the stock speed of em are and what their ocing potential is with stock cooling or maybe a decent fan over the heat sink?

uhmmm...FAST........some oc pretty well.

About my geforce 3 ti 200, it would run CS maxed out at max FPS. GTA3 does well in 1024x768, Vice city does well in 1024x768........but now my card is dead.
