Goal is to get to 1.2 ghz in the most cost effective manner. I'm not trying for overclocking distance errors.

I've heard I need a "blue core" TBird. How do I tell if it is one? Are they literally colored blue somewhere? Is there something in the sku?

Who's good to buy from? What is the best speed to get for a COST EFFECTIVE very good shot at 1.2gig?

Thanks.

look at the core on the chip and if its green then its a austin chip (no copper)
the blue core will look blue ! and is made in dresdin
they have copper
and overclock ALOT better

have a t bird 850 green core @ 1090 mhz @ 2.21 volts

and a t bird 950 blue core running 1311mhz @ 2.21 volts

so the blues work really good
