I don't know what is causing this...

Two nights ago, I woke up and found my dual had turned itself off... It worked fine until, I went to sleep... It turned itself off again. This time I decided to leave it until I woke up. 11am I turned it back on. At exactly 12 noon it turned itself off again. I don't know what is causing this, all the power saving stuff is off, none of the other computers are doing anything like this. All the voltages are fine (though the core voltage dips a little).

I don't know if it is shutting down, or just crashing and turning itself off. It hasn't happened whilst I have been at the computer.

I am running XP Pro. Anyone got any ideas at all??

Check power management?

First thing I would check is the event viewer and also see if it is leaving a minidump file in the windows folder.

I just checked again to make sure, Power Management is disabled/off. And the event viewer, all I see there is the bootup logs... Strange.

OK... It just died on me. Can't get the thing to switch back on. I am gonna have to try another psu, even though its only 300W and the computer is a dual... A power hungry noisy dual...

I was listening to music, closed that off, opened up WMP 9 and started a little vid, then tried switching to full screen, and BAM! dead... One very expensive dead metal hulk.
