View Full Version : K6-2 400 Your Quick Excellent Mobo Recomenations To O/C It

K6-2 400 socket, something tells me I'll need seriuos cooling to squeeze the Mhz out of it. I know Mushkin or OCZ ram would be best but no mobo ideas, I will be searching the forums and web researching but maybe this will save me some time. Tell me what you use, have used, or know about the chip, I already know it isn't a great one but if I could run it up to maybe 500Mhz I'll put it to use. Your input please... Cozy

the epox EP-MVP3C2. if you want one cheep i'll sell you my old one for $30 +s\h. 4pci, 1 agp, 2isa. via cipset. haderware temp monitering. ata-66 on-bord support.vcore up to 3.5v

why not try a gigabyte ga5aa or ga5ax mobo
real good stable mobo's for overclocking
multiplier up to 6 X and fsb up to 150mhz.ish
very above average boards

Fireball that offer is coolbut sounds a might chancy, no offense and thank you for the offer - looks like you have a buyer though! I will look into all mobos listed and I know Epox is a good brand to. Too Risky, Respectfully, Cozy
