anyone know if 66 deg. cel. on my t-bird is bad?
normal just sitting around the temp is about 41, but when running Seti@home or play Q3A it gets up to about 66-67, and the heatsink is hotter than hell(burnt my finger)
i know the heatsink is a piece of crap, cause i bought an orb, but didnt fit on my KT7-RAID, so im getting another one.

No...that's not bad....it's VERY bad. I'd get a new HSF before I ran it any more.
The Orb DOES fit on a KT7-RAID. I have one of each, and it works fine. I managed to get it on without doing any dremmeling, by GENTLY pushing the caps by the socket out of the way.
My 800Mhz blue-bird makes it to 1Ghz with this setup, but it's a bit too hot for my peace of mind. So I run at 950. Idle temp stays around 30-32c, and at full load stays below 50c.
You ARE running way too hot. You need to get the Orb on there. Perhaps have a look at your case cooling (or perhaps lack thereof).

Hmmm...I read that he didn't use the Orb because it didn't fit...or mebbe I need new glasses :) I took it that he was using a stock HSF that obviously isn't ....working that is
Uhhh ... yes, I too took it that he was not using the Orb, but he did buy one. He said it didn't fit. The first part of my post outlined how it DOES fit.
