I purchased a Giga-byte 7xv board, and a Duron 750. I was woundering if anyone can give me a page or instructions for dummies on how to overclock it safely and what my ideal overclocking range is? I also purchased a Crome orb fan for it.

Your advice is appericated :)

If your users manual has good instructions, it will tell you how to change your clock multiplier and FSB. Try reading the beginners info on the main page here too. If you still have questions, I'll see what I can find on your board and try to help.

I really hate to tell you this, but the Chrome Orb is a terrible overclocking HSF. If you can return it, please do and get a Super Orb (they are ok if you need to watch your budget) or an Alpha (they are good) .

my board has dip switchs to change the bus, its currently at 100, it can go to 133, whats needs to be down to the 750 process to get it to 900 or so?

I've never messed with a Gigabyte board - yet...It SOUNDS like it's only FSB clockable. Let me do some websearch and dee what I dig up.
