I have a Soltek SL-75KV which only the Voltage & FSB can be change.
And unlocking Duron can be done using a pencil to short the pins.
So, think it woul work if I connect all of the pins in L1.
Then open all the pins open all the pins on L6, L3 & L4, then changed to the setting of a higher Duron say duron 900.
Btw, if u can use a pencil to connect the pin on L1 then it also can be use to conneect other pins.
The FSB and Voltage can be changed in the BIOS
Err comments, suggestions?

This is how they're doing it with the no multiplier adjustment boards, you may want to consider using something more lasting than pencil when you figure out how much you can get out of the chip, pencil just barely cuts it for making the connections and stops working in short order ussually.

Open the L3, L4 and L6 pins? As in cut them or join them?

yup cut/open them, as I know L6, 64 & L3 is the key to the CPU multiplier of Duron
err it what it seems to be co'z L7 is the Voltage selector

If you cut them all, how do you know what clock speed you get? I'm very interested here :)

I've come accross asite that shows a duron 600 - 850 and thunderbird up to 1250
They take a picture, scan and post it, clearly showing the L1 - L7.
And I've also seen other people complaining that their Duron produce a lot of heat even without doing an OC, and other people having only a 650 but can make it to 1000up.
So i thought that AMD like Intel just make DURON CPU's then test them out of which will pass a certain speed then throw them out into the market

Can you post the site that you got the info from? Thanks!!

err i'm not sure but i think it's in TOM's HARDWARE.
And EY! I'm currently doing it, I haven't test it!

Found the link, for those of you that were wondering:

I'm going to read the follow-up article now, to see what's up.

err any ideas on what can i use to connect the pins?
Here in the Philippines the so called Conductive Pen is no where to be found :(
And sadly i'm stuck here
And no one wants a Philippine Peso

Kabayan? :)
The first person to reply says that pencil is not permanent and or could not last for long.
So any other than a pencil or pen?

A pencil will work ok...if you have to go back later and redo the pencil is that bad?

In order to access the L1 connectors, you will have to take the cooler off, which means you'll also have to put cooling paste on etc. Besides every time you take the processor out of the socket, you run the risk of damagin something. Tweaking is fun, but there's no point settling for a temporary solution if you can make it work for the long run, right?

Hmm, I did the pencil trick to unlock multipliers only one time, and it are lasting for a couple of months. ;P
Yes, maybe one more, six months and it stop working, but there a solution for the pencil trick. First, use a quality pencil, doing a very good job, and Second, cover the L bridges with adesive tape and your graphit bridges will last forever! :D
I personally don't use the pencil or the conductive pen. Instead, I went to my local Automtive parts store and picked up a product called:
"Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit"
Simply put, it is a one part resin, applied with anything small, that when it dries it creates a DIRECT short (less than .01 ohms, i think). If you don't like where you connected it, it isn't real difficult to get off, but certainly won't come off or wear off under normal use.
It cost me $10.00 (US) for a bottle. This particular stuff was made by Loctite (product ID is 15067) but I understand that a couple other companies make it too.
Hope you can find some.

oh! one more thing, I can't seem to find out what can I use to cut the connections, co'z cutter can't and neither a mini-drill.
Help anyone?
