this is just a note-
I have the hedgehog and a number of stock amd retail fans for my tbirds.
Lately I've been fiddling with all of them, trying to determine which is the most effective. It turns out that without the thermal pad (rub it off) and with arctic silver, the amd retail fan is way better than the hedgehog.
Don't believe me? The hedgehog wd crash in prime 95 @ 1272 mhz in 2 minutes. The amd fan can loop prime95 for a week without crashing.
I'm not sure why. They are both using identical amounts of arctic silver, the heatsinks both appear (I know, appear) flat, and certainly it APPEARS as if the hedgehog shd outcool the amd fan. But it doesn't.
One other note-
increasing voltage does not always help yr oc, especially if there is a heat dissipation issue. Case in point - I've never been able to go over 106 mhz on this mb @ 1.85 mhz with any stability. I just lowered the voltage to 1.75, and i'm at 107 with no problems. I'll see how far we can go...
