I have a t-bird 750 overclocked to 900 right now.. at 1.8v cooled by a alpha pal w/ ys tech fan.... when i try to do anything over 950 (like 1000 or so) i get a bios checksum error? whats that? could it be power problem.. all i got is a Antec 300 watt psu... I have a Abit KT7-Raid with the UL bios revision.. will updating the bios help it? anyone got any ideas..

A thunderbird 750 at 950 is a pretty good overclock as long as it's stable--I've never heard of anyone getting anything under an 800 past 1GHz...

My 700 will run rock stable at 875, but I had to do the voltage mod on my A7V and crank it up to 1.97v, otherwise it would crash in looping benchmarks...I'm tired of my 700 though, so I just ordered a 1.1GHz

best of luck to you

Your failed overclock caused the BIOS checksum error.

Go into the BIOS and select the default BIOS settings and reboot. The checksum error should clear and you can reset your overclock to where you know it was stable :)
