Help with a 1ghz athlon

I have a 1gig athlon slot A w/ abit KA7 MOB a goldfinger would only let my multiplier go to 10.5x any thoughts

If it's a classic Athlon, you're lucky you picked up the 10.5 multiplier. The higher speed original Athlons at a high clock speed are not going to give you much bang for the buck. My watercooled 900 would only just get over 1g. by combining GFD multiplier of 9.5 and increasing the FSB 1 step at a time.
