Guys, i need help please...
Heres my situation. I overclocked my duron 800 using the pencil trick. It worked fine at 926 Mhz using 109 FSB + 8.5 multiplier. But i wanted more out of it, so i cranked it up and it worked until it started freezing in windows so i guess it wouldn't work any higher.. well, i put it back to 926 Mhz but the computer was not stable anymore... anyways, i thought it were the contacts of the pencil wasn't good enough. so i redone the pencil trick many times and still not good.. for some reason now the cpu multiplier stays locked in x8.. I even bought a conductive pen and tried that but i still can't change the multiplier speed anymore... can you guys give me some input on what you think is wrong? do you think i screwed up my duron cpu?

i think its the pencile trick
use rear window repair kit
it has conductive paint in it and use the paint to connect the L1's
works GOOD !!!

I'm using a Asus A7V rev. 1.02 motherboard.
Isn't the conductive pen just as good as the windshield repair stuff?
I have all L1 I I I I connected... anything else i have to do? I read on here that somebody got it working without connecting all of L1?
what happens if you bridge the points? does it harm the cpu?
