I tried to unlock my T Bird 700 but I could barely see the bridges. I will wait until I get a magnifying glass. I cranked my FSB up to 107 X 7 (749Mhz). After running Prime 95 for about an hour my CPU temp went from 40C (before OC) to 45C (Measured using ASUS Probe (yes I know its not accurate)). My 3D Mark went from 3666 to 3725. Is it worth it to run my CPU at this speed until my lazy self can go get a magnifying glass and unlock my CPU?

Sounds like you're doing ok. I'd recommend conductive ink over graphite tho :)

I kno the .5mm pencil lead looks huge on what I was able to do. Can I get the conductive ink pen at radioshack? Is it smaller then the .5mm pen?

Radioshack doesn't seem to carry them. Any good electronics store should have one...just call around and ask for a Circuitworks Conductive Pen. It's not the size of the conductive pen if you will, but that the material is designed to provide electrical connection where graphite wasn't designed for that purpose....it's just an inherent characteristic. :)

go to your local outparts store and get a rear window repair kit

use the conductive paint inside it to coonnect the L1's

I think he was asking about smaller than .5 because of the distance between the traces. I found that with the circuit works pen (probably the windshield defog repair kit too) a pin works well, just draw onto a piece of plastic (i used a cd case) and then use the pin to apply the silver ink to each of the traces using a magnifying glass. The nice thing about the pen is you can erase the ink back off and do it again if you mess up, it took about 3 tries to get it to work on mine.

I get so tired of hearing about how you have to use conductive paint or what-not to unlock. It's NONSENSE. Graphite works just fine. And I'd obviously rather have erasable graphite than paint you have to SCRAPE off. There is so little current travelling across the bridges, you need nothing more than a pencil. Mechanical pencil makes it easier -- use a fine lead.

Torch,
If you would please re-read what I said....conductive ink is more long lasting than pencil because it was designed to conduct electricity on circuitboards without wearing off/out. If you have read the article on pencils here, not all pencils are made the same and consequently don't have the same electrical conductivity.
Also, there is no need to scrape the ink off...a q-tip and rubbing alcohol do a fine job.

I used a Pentel Techniclick. All I have tried so far is 8.0 X 100 and it works great with no voltage changes.

i`ve literally read hundred`s of post`s about the "pencil trick " not working or wearing off if there`s abetter method then common sence say`s use it
