I have noticed that in the cpu database the Duron 600 overclocks better than the 650 on average. Is there a difference in cpu's. Is there something better going on with the duron 600, sort of like why people always like the celeron 300a to overclock with.

There is no difference between the two besides the obvious. The reason people initialy purchased 600 durons and 300 celerons is because they where both vey inexpensive and overclockable. Right now there is no reason to get a 600 duron since they cost more than a 650. It does however sound better to have a duron 600@1000 than a 650@1000.
