four-hole heatsink question

I recently got my hands on an MCX-462+. This HS, as you probably know, uses the for mounting holes around the socket. I've installed the studs and their lock nuts, but they are still loose, and I can't figure out how (or if) to tighten them. The instruction sheet says nothing about tighening the nuts. I don't want to put my mobo in and then take it out again after finding out I did it wrong. Should I tighten the lock nuts on the back of the mobo before putting it in? And, if so, how should I go about doing it?

If you can wiggle the HS, then you have to get it tighter somehow because you need to have good pressure between the HS and the CPU. I'm not familiar with that HS so I can't tell you how to tighten it. Sorry.
