Well I got the only k6-2 chip the comp store had, it was a 500 mhz, for 60 bucks.

I put it in this computer, which before had a 233mhz chip in it, I had the PRO MMX powerleap adapter, so it would go over 233, well it posts as an intel 266mhz chip.

It runs as a 400, but damn my Final Reality score droped like hell, it was 2.42, now its 0.99

and it LOCKS UP over night, constantly, I was wondering if there was something I could do to get ride of this problem.

And if it was because I was only able to run it at 400 instead of 500.

ah well atleast its faster :)

Almost sounds like it is cooling to me. What is the FSB set to, and does your mb support it officialy? You might want to disable the L2 cache in the BIOS, that would sometimes improve stability on flaky, out of spec K6-2 systems.

FSB is at max per jumpers, 66mhz, but if I could get SoftFSB to work with my chip I could get higher speeds easly, this chip will to 75-83 mhz.

Clock Muli at max, 6.0 and no the chip is not even supose to work in my board :), but the PL adapter makes it work nicely, its running cool as well, considering its UNDER clocked :)

Just wondering if there is a patch to get this slightly unstable chip shored up.

I have win 98 btw, so I dont need the 95 patch for over 350mhz :)
