Ok I feel like a jackass! After all the posts I have posted about gettting stuck at 950mhz and being unable to boot into Win98 any higher, trying water cooling and fan configurations I realized something. Why would a system boot into win98 safe mode at 1ghz but not normally? So into MSCONIG I went. I turned everything off except scan registry and system tray. Rebooted at 1ghz and wola! As I type I am using the alpah pep66t, amd800 thunderchicken and the abit kt7 raid board. No voltage tweaks yet, shes at 1.8v and at idle is still 28C! I am going to run torture and prime95 to see what load will do the high end temp. In any event time to see just how high I can go without modification. Look out Azzkicker my goal is to top your system heheheheh

This is very interesting. After your done running Prime 95 and the usual torture tests please put a report back up in the board. It would be really interesting to see what is up. Maybe this can help me finally get up to the 1 GHZ+ Mark.

Ok I have run Mech4, prime95, Q3 torture, for the last hour, highest temp I got was 43C. I have since gone into the bios and attempted to get 1050 but no luck. I have taken the voltage to 1.85v, she will boot past bios check but reports the vcache windows error. I do not believe thats due to temp problems, rather lack of juice. I have a 300w ps but alot of items are pulling off that. Hmmmm voltage mod or perhaps a better power setup.........
