View Full Version : AMD Duron 650-HOW TO UNLOCK SAFELY??

I have a Duron 650 socket A cpu. And im not content with 650 mhz....Who should be! Ive seen lots of peoles accounts of what can and might happen if you join the bridges on the L1 part of the chip. Any one with any Experiance????

Any methods..??

Best way is to join the bridges with a conductive pen. You can buy these on the net, electronics hobby store, or in an auto parts center (they use them to repair defoggers.) This is the best method and the method that will last the longest. As for overclocking itself the best way is to up the voltage on the CPU and start testing different multiplier settings, thats the only way that you can find out what your system is really made of.

Well I took the rear defogger material and unlocked my duron 650 @ 950 @ 1.85v. Have cooler master dp5-6h51 currently running on A7V mobo. Runs stable at this speed so far and will be trying to reach the gig mark.
