Hi,

I have an AMD K6-2 500, a Jetway J542-C Motherboard and 128Mb of PC-133 SD-RAM. I have the processor running at 500 MHz (5.0*100MHz). But when I try to overclock it, even a little bit, the computer becomes unstable. There are a couple of things I'm not sure about, the CPU Voltage and the I/O Voltage. Have you any ideas as to if these are the problems? I've searched all of the forum but the 2 posts I found about this motherboard haven't been of any use.

Please Help,
Ranny.

Increasing the core voltage will make the possessor more stable but you will have to get rid of the extra heat this will produce. Also try leaving the multiplier alone and slowly increase the FSB that will give better results than just over clocking the cpu.
