will water cooling fit in this case?

That case should be good for water cooling, aslong as you plan to put the radiator someplace other than infront of the hdd cage. Most any case is good for water cooling.

Good Luck

Any case can have water cooling if you have enough creativity. Look at the micro ATX comp in my sig. I stuffed it with a Chevette heater core and a 172 MM fan. If you want the water system to turn on with the entire system you will need to wire up a relay. Its not difficult to setup and it makes forgetting to turn on your pump impossible.

That sounds good and all but do you really want to chop up your case and kill you future expanibility just to fit the cooling system in it?

If its important to you to have the cooling system in the case then maybe you should look to a new case which can accomdate such things as a large chevett radiator and pump, otherwise you can do a cool looking external one.:) But then again... why not chop up or modify your current case to put the stuff in?

If you havent bought the case yet, I suggest you go for a much better designed case. The Chieftec Dragon Series, which are used by Thermaltake for their XaserII range and Antec which follow the same design

Thery are very spacious cases, with 2 bottom hdd cages, one can be removed to accomodate the Chevette core
All the other stuff such as the pump in my case the eheim1250 fits nicely right next to the video card.

You can view the case in the above link

I have the same question. this is my case: http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/cst-20.html and I need to know if I can cram a chevette heatercore and an eheim 1250 into it. The bottom drive cage does come out, but the little piece of aluminum that supports it I dont think comes out. Any ideas on if I should cut the thing out or what? Thanks for the time, and sorry for the thread jack.

Oh yeah altec thats another Chieftec Clone :D I dunno who copies from each other. They all good cases.
As for the support that the hdd cage was resting on its held to the case by 2 small pop-rivets located on the front of the case.
If you remove the front cover you will notice them. Just drill a hole in the rivets and they should come off very easily ;)

If you get the Thermaltake Kit be sure to get a Thermalteke Case
All the other kits should fit no problem, just be sure about the radiator size and where you're going to install it.

As for the sk7 and watercooling, i see that watercooling after running it for almost 7months now is the quitness of the system.
You need to know that 2 120mm fans make less noise than 1 screaming 80mm fan :D
So in IMOO watercooling is the way to go ;)

Plan your purchase carefully and you wownt be disappointed
:)

All three of those kits are of poor performance and quality. Read around the forum a bit more, then build yourself a nice custom setup for the same $150.

The case you originally linked to is hard to h20 cool. The only good spot for a radiator is in the top. Because of the drive holders, the radiator can't be bigger than 5.25". A Toyota Camry heatercore should just barely fit. :)

The only kit of any poor quality would be that senfu, the others are of high quality while the may not yeld the absolute best temps, they are not *cheap*... In my opinion.

With mod, everything is possible. If you like the case, just buy it and mod it if it can't hold all of the stuff. That's a spirit of a true modder.

I'm not sure but the Thermaltake kit will fit into a chenming natively. Look at the components and imagine their placement in your case, I sure they provide measurements of all the parts for each kit. Even if they are not on the store's websites, surely they would be on the manufacture's site.

Looked for, and found the rivets, but I dont have a drill. Is there any other way to get these things off? Like could I pry them off with a flathead screwdriver or something? I really don't want to have to go out and spend money I don't have at the moment.

Hey, if you don't have a dremel, you don't need to actually buy a dremel, I got this Handi-Tool Rotary Tool - its just as good as any dremel, don't ever let anyone tell you it isn't - it also can use dremel bits. Its was only $20.00 buxx too!

I think you can only get these at Wal-Mart though, thats where i got mine.

If you have a flathead screwdriver and hammer, you can get the rivits off that way too. OR a hammer and nail.
Think of ways to remove the rivits without doing too much physical damage to the case. Try cutting them off with a serrated(sp) edge knife, or possibly fileing them off?.

i kept prying at the metal and distorted it untill it just snapped off... the case is fine but the other part isn't =P

but hey, it works
