Edit: I was confused when I wrote this post; the evil advertising made me think that two 512 sticks were for sale, not two 256's. My bad :p
From what I can read is that the single stick 512 is cheaper than the 2 sticks of 256.???

lol, i made that mistake when i first saw it too. What they do is sell ram in pairs so that people with the motherboards that can run Dual Channel know that they have "matched" ram becuase many people find matched ram to work better.
