I have an NF7 v2 mobo and it did not come with a game port. SO i bought an old creative sound card froma friend for the game port only. Well the sounds works fine on the card but the game port has a yellow exclamation in device manager. The error is "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)" What the heck does that mean. Is there something the bios i should change to give it the neccary resources?

This means that it cannot find a free memory address, and/or IRQ to assign the game port without causing a conflict.
Does that board have serial or parallel ports, and do you use them? If it does have them, and you don't use them, disable them in the BIOS. Free up any IRQ's you can in the BIOS. If you have an IRQ assigned to the USB, and it will work without it, disable it.

With some free IRQ's and memory addresses to work with, you ought to be able to get the gameport working.

You can go into the properties and manually change the IRQ/memory address, but you may not be able to find a combination that doesn't have a conflict until you free some resources.

I have already disabled the 2 serial ports. Your right about manually changing the irq. I couldn't find one that one work. I will try to free some more up though.

After disabling the ports in the BIOS, I think you will have to remove them in device manager to allow you to assign their resources to the game port.
Not completely sure about that, I usually have to figure this sort of thing out as I go, and then immediately forget how I did it.

Maybe a USB device would be better in the long run.
