OK folks. Have been contemplating this alot...
I currently have an FOP38 on my 1 gigger, and overclocked it to 1100 easy at 1.8v. Now as you know I can only go to 1.85v on the Abit KT7. So anytime I try the cpu at 1150 or 1200, I can load windows but it freezes at the logon screen or shortly after entering windows.
At 1.1ghz my loaded temps are only 39-40c due to a badass full tower with 85+cfm of airflow, (2) 80mm Sunons (35cfm each intake) in the top and a 4" blowhole (85cfm exhaust) in the bottom.
Temperature is NOT an issue.
Do you think 1200 would be attainable if I do the voltage mod? I am not really wanting over 2.0 volts....
Since it posts and loads windows (usually) at 1150-1200, do you think 2.0v would get it stable? I am sure my heatsink-case-fans combo will take care of any heat. And, where are some good details on how to voltage mod the KT7.....

I guess you would get +100mhz by going up to 2v. But your temps will go up too.

Temps are not an issue....I have super duper air cooling and case cooling....
At 1.85v @1100 I only hit 41-42c....as long as I stay in the 45-48c range I could care less about temps :-)
The FOP38 has the headroom....

I did the voltage modd to my a7v and got 102 mhz more. Now my duron 600 is running at 1102. Don't forget to sand and polish the bottom of your fop38 and user some good heatsink compound. My fop38 was very rough but now I can see myself in the reflection. When you solder place one leg where it will be attached and touch the iron to the leg, not the surface of the motherboard. Then bend the other leg to it's position and do the same. This will keep you from overheating the little smd resistors and killing your board. Just remember the tiny amount of solder will still heat up fast. If you don't feal confident try practacing on an old motherboard or something similar.

Nice overclock Bender!
May I ask what your temps are? And what cooler are you using?
I already polished the FOP38 ;-)

I pushed and prodded my 1gig tbird to 1233 then did the voltage mod and I gained nothing this chip is maxed out 1150 is average for a1ghz tbirb i got the last 75mhz after burring my chip in with rc5
