AMD K7 Anthalon

I have a 1000 mhz anthalon, and im using a orbit fan. But the computer halts when i play games like mech warrior 4. I was wondering what kind of fan do i need for the cpu?

copper base hsf are proving them selve`s to be a little better then the rest (aluminum base) i run a hedgehog and swear by it keep`s my tbird nice and chilly at 39-40C at full load

i`ve got a swiftech comming on the 24 (had to wait 4 weeks) this one is supose to be better than the hog ill let ya know

Sounds as though temps aren't your problem - tbirds should run stable close to 60C. Have you tried different drivers for the vid card, using DX7 instead of DX8 (or vice versa) - what vid card are you using btw?
