Right now I have an XP1600+ AGOIA, and I haven't been able to go over 1800+ speeds because I run an old SDRAM setup. I'm going to go to a KT333 mobo with at least PC2700 DDR (most likely I'll just skip to PC3200). Should I get one of the XP1700+ from Newegg for $42? I know my cpu is the old king of cheap OC, but the 1700 is the next champ... should I do it?

If you get a good 1700, it will overclock like mad. The question is, do YOU want to do it?

i would get an Nforce 2 and not upgrade your proc yet... unless you feel you need the speed, deffinatly upgrade but not to a KT333, get an Nforce2 it will help /w speed and make it easier to OC cuz you proc will likly runout before you mobo and probably memory...

Sorry I forgot to mention...
I already have a Shuttle AK35GT v2.2 mobo.

I run the AGOIA 1600+ with a glacialech 2410 pro HSF.

I'm probably going with HyperX PC3200

I was considering water cooling, but would want a premade kit for under $130, and I don't see many around...

ya dont get a premade kit for cheap... ifyou really want a good premade one you are gonna have to pay for it, i would stick with your air and i guess you could get some good memory for futur upgrades but i dotn think you need PC3200 with just a KT333 unless its a mad OCing board:D

I recently bought some new memory.. Corsair Value Select 2700.. im running it at 420mhz 6-3-2-CL2.0 in dual channel mode which is pretty damn amazing, its past 3200 speeds and even at CAS 2.0 when its rated at 2.5. With a kt333 board you wouldnt even be able to run memory this fast. I would just get some good 2700 and a 1700+ somewhere where it is guaranteed to be a DLT3C Tbred "B"
