what can i use to cool the memory on a 9800 pro

i have a 9800 pro with a Zalman Special Edition Chromed ZM80A-HP VGA Heatpipe cooler! i need some cooling for me memory and it is kinda tight between the cooler and mem.also is there a better cooling system for a 9800 pro? i got this cooler before i signed up with this forum you all rock and i like all your feed back THANKS!!

those zalman passive heatsinks aren't really made for overclockers in mind, they are made to be a silent cooling solution.
they pretty much suck for real cooling when overclocking the videocard.

a few simple things you may consider...

take a real P3 copper heatsink and find a way to attach to the GPU.
take a old heatsink and chop it to bits, with either a dremel, or hacksaw. use some artic silver thermal adhesive to attach them, (no thermal pads)
those are just the common solutions.
watercooling it, or adapting a vapochill (if your insane like me) are also options.

If you don't feel like cutting up old heatsinks, etc, try the tweakmonster RAMsinks.

The Zalmans are quite good for overclocking from recollection, its just that they are passive and in their passive form they work just as good if not slightly better than a stock heatsink. After a minor mod ie securing a 80mm fan to the side of it the active cooling give you can really push that 9700 alot further. Plus the air flowing between the two large aluminium plates with also blow over the RAM chips providing cooling for them aswell.
