Ok, had a problem with my 2400+ last night that got solved by you great people :D Thanks a lot for that. Today I started fooling around with it and got it to post at 2.2ghz but for some reason it reboots when windows starts to load so I was wondering if I would need to up the voltage??
2400+ XP
Pc Chips m848lu ( I know no one has heard of this board :( )
640mg DDR PC2100
Thanks again!
you might need to up the vcore!
but is your cooling up to it?
Whats your hole system specs?
I can run mine at 2.2Ghz at stock voltage and its very stable!
Oh and how did you overclock it? raise the fsb or multi?
Oh and do you fold?

i dont have much more in it:
gforce fx 5200
40 gig maxtor
My cooling should be able to handle it, I could use a better heatsink most likely but that will come soon with my new mobo. I raised the fsb to achieve 2.1 but any higher and windows starts to freeze.
Do I fold? ( Wish I knew what that was because the only folding I do is my laundry ;) )
Thanks!

I take that back I can raise my fsb to 145 and it works fine, when I go to 150 it will still post but windows starts freezing.

lol! thats a good one!
I think you may have to up the voltage! Also it could be the motherboard which isn't liking the overclock. I don't know much about the mobo so can't help you! sorry! but I would try and raise the voltage (vcore) up to the next level and see if that helps.
And for folding you might want to check the folding part of the forums.

Ah its your motherboard or cpu! Can you lower the multi with the mobo you have? cos I would lower that and then up the fsb to 166. then you can raise the multi to the most stable point.

Thanks a ton asj! Yeah this mobo isn't the best but it's all I could afford when I bought it. everything but the fsb is locked :( So thursday when I get my paycheck I will be getting myself a new abit yay.

that would be your motherboard!
mmm. its a SIS chipset so I don't know anything about the motherboard! Sorry! At least I done some research! now more people will know about the board and be able to help you!
if its an abit your getting then make it a NF7-S ver2! they are the best! I have rev 1 but haven't had any probs yet!

Thanks asj, I would have done that research myself but last time I checked the pcchips site was down. As for the nf7-s I was getting one but can't find rev 2 anywhere...newegg does have nf7-s but not sure if it's rev 2 or rev 1.
