Not Seeing Certain Pictures/Little x In A Empty Box

When I visit some web pages, the picture wont load. I only get a box with a little red x in it. What am I missing to view these picture's. Sometimes it happen's at this forum too.

it is because where the picture on the web isn't loading.

Like if I link a picture in this post, and the server holding the picture goes down or crashes, you will see the red x. Nothing is wrong with your monitor.

Thank's. I thought I was missing software for that type picture.

You might be, for some of them. Some idiots post .bmp files, and only a few web browsers can display them.

If you're using IE (and it sounds like you are), the box with the x usually means that the picture couldn't display. If you're missing a plugin, I think it usually (not always) has a box with a puzzle piece in it.
