This is my first time overclock so I may be doing something stupid. I first connect the L1 bridge using pencil, make sure the lead stays on the bridge and try 10.5x100, 11x100, 11.5x100, all ok. Then I try 10x105, 10x110, 10x115, all ok. Here I come tyring to lower the multiplier, I clear the CMOS first and let it boot up, then try 7.5x133, 1.85v and 3.4v, all other fail-safe default. Reboot and no go. I try 9.5x100, no go. What did I do wrong? I can get multiplier up but not down no matter what the FSB is.

My bios version is WW, does it help to try the beta bios?

im prety sure you dont have to clear cmos to change setting`s

you also state in your post "fail safe default" if you load that it will switch every thing back to default including multiplier and fsb

Oh, I forogt to clarify that I first load fail-safe, then change the CPU multiplier and volatage.

that is strange I have the kt7 raid (no A) and I can go up or down ???

the only suggestion I have is to make certain that all the L1 bridges are closed
