ok i have a laptop windows xp home ed upgrade installed on it.

now it boots up half way and hangs there it doesn't boot into windows any idea how could i fix it??

try boot in safe mode - hold down F8 I think.

Where does it hang? At the graphical boot about half-way through?

How long have you left it sit?

when it boots into windows just before the desktop should show it is just the blue sceen on and it says wondows xp
