I just bought a abit Kt7a and an thunderbird 900. Unfortuenately there seems to be a problem with my ABSOLUTE Nvidia Riva TNT 32mb. When I enter windows the picture doesn't update it just lets everything stay and puts layer on layer on layer! Has anyone had this problem before? I'm currently running Win me by the way

Do you have any PCI card that is next to the AGP slot? if yes then try taking the PCI card out and try again.

I had slight problem with my Asus GF2MX before, for that I had to raise vio to 3.5v to fix it.

go to amd's web site and and look for utilites.i amd running a amd 750athlon and after some research found that this chip has some issues similar to ur own with not only the AGP slot but also IRQ miniport addressing. u may find ur answer there.i have installed the drivers and found that system works fine.

you shouldn't have a problem.

i just put together an amd 900 t-bird with an abit kt7a-raid board and i also have an nvidia riva tnt2 ultra 32mb card (creative labs)... i don't ahve any problems running it in windows 98 or win2k...(ref. drivers 6.31)...

hope this helps.

One friend of mine bought an Duron 800 and one "chingling" cheapo mobo. And his tnt2 ultra (creative) do not work. With almost all combinations of 4in1 and detonators, it's still in 640x480x256, and freezing after 1 to 30 sec. I put my TnT2 (diamond non ultra) and it worked fine. Tryed his TnT2 ultra in my A7V and it installed with no prob, but started frezing in 3d. So we tryed it with an P!!! 500 and it worked fine! Played Oni all nigh long!!! WTF???

I have an amd 700 with a tnt 32mb video card and had this same problems. What worked for me was going into my display setting and manually setting the refresh rates on my video card and the going in to the direct x diagnostics program and setting the refresh rate there manually to match the one I had just set for my video card. I also made sure that my monitor type was specified in the device manager. (Before I just let windows detect it as a plug and play monitor) I got both of these solutions from nvidia's web site. I had several different problems with my video and the combination of these two solved my problems.
