I have a new system with a AMD T'Bird 1200 256Mb pc133 RAM, Elsa Gloria II 64Mb Graphics card, and Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound, all mounted on a piece of ---- Biostar M7VKB motherboard based on the VIA KT133 Chipset.

Apart from the motherboard this should be **** hot, but it keeeps crashing out on heavy Direct 3d Games - can any one confirm my fears that the motherboard isn't up to the task.

I have all the latest drivers for Graphics, Sound and Chipset, but all to no avail - the system is just totally unstable.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease Help Me!

Try using OpenGL rather than Direct 3D. I've had quite a few problems using Direct 3D, and very few with OpenGL.

Try getting the newest bios version...
Bios upgrades can often solve problems like that

I have built a few systems with that motherboard and it rocks. For $100 it's about the best low cost amd solution out there. You can't overclock with it but what it does it does well. The board is not at fault. You may want to try changing your agp settings in the bios..........the driving strength if you can. Also see if you install the via drivers in normal mode if it stops crashing. Take out that turtle beach and use the embedded if it has it. Just to eliminate another possibility.
Good luck and let us know. My personal opinion is that the board is damn fast for the money.
