athlon 750@900mhz,asusk7v bios 1007,alpha p7125, 2x80x80fans,geforce mx2 with blue orb,maxtor 30 gig 7200 rpm,2xpc100-128megs,sdblaster gamer 5.1,fsb at 100mhz..
just finished installing gfd and runs fine at 900mhz right now ,what i was wondering was about the L2cache,its at 2/5,360mhz speed.i was reading posts and articles here at saying that theL2 cache for 900 mhz cpu's and above should be 1/3..when should i change this or should i keep raising mhz, i'm trying for a gig

gonna try for 1050mhz ,fsb at 100 and same vcore 1.60

Railskinner, Great Job Pal!!
Youre running close to Gig with only 1.6v, like myself. Did you steal my chip, or Azz's??
Now, I see you only have the 1007 bios on your K7v. To post anything more than a gig, you *will* need to flash it with the 1008 Beta C bios off of www.k7v.com. That will do the job!
Now, since you havent flashed it yet, how did you get your L2 cache to go down to 1/3?? Nothing worked for mine, and I did run mine at 1030mhz with the cache at 412!!! Of course, it wont go faster till the divisor drops. That new 1008c bios has a cache adjuster in it, but it didnt work on mine.
I may use the defrost paint trick to do my chips cache resistors with. If successful, I will take off the GFD and then do the multiplier. If that also holds, Ill post that here and all you Slot A guys will not have to shell out any longer!!
Darn, *why* did I give away that k7v??
