I'm thinking about putting a Maxijet 1200 pump in a complete reservoir enclosure. I want to know whether this will help out with pump noise and vibration. Please share your experiences.

My1200 is pretty quiet i think. There is a hum, naturally, but with my case on the floor I can't hear it unless I'm down there. It was noisy from vibration when I had it mounted with the suction cup. I ditched that for velcro tape. MUCH better.

I'm using a peanut butter jar for my res. For now I just have it sitting on my desk right next to my monitor. I can hear the vibration w/ the computer off, it's not too bad. I need to get it moved into my case. The electrical interference makes my monitor fluctuate.

I have one of these and you cannot hear it unless you put your head to it.
They use a maxi-jet 1200 in a lexan res with some sound deadening material.
