Is it possible to cause your temp to go up with to much silver on the CPU???

I've heard it can, if you really pile the stuff on, but I've never noticed a difference. Just spread it real thin using an old credit card or razor blade, the hsf should squash most of it out anyway.

Cool baby cool...
I got the KT7A-RAID / Mushkin Rev3 150MHZ cas 2 mem / FOP38 / Elsa GTS and I am trying to get all my questions answered before I dive in head first. This is not my 1st OC adventure but it will be my most planned one. Thanks Rob.
Also does anyone wanna recommend the best price 4 performance T-Bird? I am leaning toward the 1GHZ and trying to shoot for a 7.5 x 150 = 1125MHZ...reasonable OC but what about the bus speed? Possible?

I've found the best way to get rid of excess arctic silver is with a pencil rubber (eraser if you like ;-) )- sounds dodgy I know but I was using it to remove the pencil from the bridges and found it worked great. I'd have thought static'd be a problem but it doesn't seem to be. Now my duron always looks nice and clean :P
