SOME BODY GOTTA HELP.i keep gettin oe error at 016f:bff****** on startup.i got a classic athlon 700 running at 770mhz but the errors appear regardless,they don't appear more frequent when clocked.what tends to happen after a format is it runs fine for a day or so then the errors just start kickin in,but theyre always the same 016f:******.i've tried takin out cards n' systematically puttin em back to no avail.i got a gigabyte ga 71xe mobo,sb 128 sound,scsi card,sis graphics and ambient modem.i' m wondering if its a memory prob pc133 128 meg.if u know anythin or got any pointers,please help.

First reset all bios settings to their original values ('load setup defaults' or something similar), and try running your memory at 100MHz instead (maybe it can't handle 133 anymore, though that would be odd). If you haven't already, try taking out everything but the cpu, memory and graphics card, and get it to post - then add the hard drive and floppy drive, then cd drives, and then the pci cards one at a time, checking with each change you make to see if it still works. It sounds like a memory problem but it's always worth checking everything - what would really help is if you could borrow some memory you know is good from another computer, just to test with. My guess is you'll have to replace the memory, but the only way to be sure is to test it.
