Not as far as I know, just unlock the multiplier with the pencil trick. The new 1.2gig tbirds are actually factory unlocked - wahey!
Im new at over clocking and I dont know that trick. 2 weeks ago I built a system with a 1 gig t-bird (oem). It went bad so returned it and got a P3 800 eb instead cause the guy couldn't replace the T-bird. Now I figure instead of pay through the nose for A 1gig ill try this.
I tried to oc this P3 but the DFI mobo I have a separate cpu / pci frequency adj. in the bios and my agp wont work if I go higher than 840mhz. the next step is 150 / 37, that would take it to 900 mhz and thats it.
if you you know of a great mobo for o/c'ing let me know. Thanks
