Some memory info would be good too, i.e. speed, divider etc.
Trying to decide on a rig myself :D

-CPU default speed = 2.6C
-CPU overclocked speed = 3.452 (13 x 265)
-CPU core voltage = 1.575
-FSB speed = 265
-Description of your cooling setup = Until I get my P4 adapter for my WB, im on air, a coolermaster copper HSF, seems ok but not great. I suspect when I get the H20 going again (see sig for specs), I should be able to safely run 1.65 - 1.7V and hope to run at 3.6 or above.
I am running OCZ EL 3500 with the 5:4 divider.

Being that Abit (I have the IC7) is known for high temps, I'm not sure if these temps are accurate, or really inaccurate, lol. It is reading the on die sensor, that I know because the temp will shoot up very fast when load is put on and shoot down quick when load is removed. With my aircooling ATM, my load is showing 59 - 60C with 1.6V. The water setup should drop those temps by at least 15C or so.

Will push it harder next week and repost
I've only had this CPU installed for about an hour or so.
Still breaking it in, so I haven't pushed it to the limit yet.

Its your motherboard thats holding you back. Get an IC7 and you'll get at least 3.5ghz out of her.
He's using an IT7 motherboard. Im actualy impressed he got 220mhz fsb out of it.

are you kidding.. its very obvious that you need a new canterwood or springdale board. your IT7 can't do the fsb's you need for fast o/cing the 3.0c

Forgot to update my profile, i have a new IC7-G just picked it up on Tuesday and stuffed it in the rig last night :D, still it dont OC for ****zsake. Even with my Ram at 5:4. Remmember the IT7 with 845E chipset didnt have the 5:4 divider that only came with the IT7 Max Version 2.0 and the i845PE chipset. (Being a smart arse.)
Ohh well, I guess I'll get another chip at the Intel Chanel Conference for Toronto East. ;)
Peace,
Kam

My very first P42400 800FSB would do:
2.4 Ghz default
3.2 Ghz Overclocked
1.7V
28C Idle, 32C Load
Water Cooled
My second one will do 3.5Ghz as posted earlier.
These things draw a lot of amps of the 12V rail, so you might want to check that if you are not getting good overclocks.
Just for fun I put in a 300W no name power supply and the thing would not even start! LOL

about the ealrier post....i made a mistake. i have the thermalright AX-7 heatsink which is sadly only for AMD. I'm desperately lookin for an adapter of some sort to help my heatsink make the switch to Intel P4.

I know the 400FSB cpu's are considered passe, but I was looking for a cheap upgrade for the following system:
P4 1.6A@2128, Epox 4SDA, etc....
Ordered a 2.4C from Newegg, retail with the following specs:
Stepping Code: SL6GS
FPO/Batch# Q252A177
Pack Date: 02/20/2003
Having only installed it today preliminary results are:
-CPU default speed=2.4C
-CPU overclocked speed=3.2 gig (currently)
-CPU core voltage=1.55v
-FSB speed=133 MHz
-Cooling: Alpha Pal, Vornado@7v
-Mem=1:1 (corsair pc2100)
-idle=35C
-load=45C
Pretty happy with things so far.....:)

Yes it ran on the IT7 at 220 FSB but I had to run the ram at 3:2 so it was kife, with the IC7-G i still cant get past 220 no matter what voltage i throw at it and with the slowest ram timings possible, so yes reffering to AZN NO NO NO guyz he gots a crappy chip admit it YES I DO HAVE A CRAPPY POS CHIP!!
Got to wait untill ICC Toronto East to get my new chip, on June 10th. Anyone else attending? It would be nice to meet some people from the forums.

Just a thought, there is an overclocking database on the front page of the website.......have all of you submitted entries? It'd be a lot better than scrolling through a threat that'll die soon

You all agree that I will need a lot of power (buying a similar setup very soon!)
I reallly don't want to be held back by my PSU, what do I need?
I was considering antec 330 or 350, but your comment made me ask... is this OK?
