What I must make to change the multiplier of my AMD Athlon 700 (Slot)?

Ever heard of a "goldfinger" it plug onto your K7's PCB.... that is right onto the slot A CPU

ok jay mabey this would have been a better way to state your case

i hear that the gold finger device will change your multiplier

you have to change the athlons internal multiplier, therefore you have to open the processor, i'l send you the "how-to", then you have two possibilities: a) you buy an goldfinger device, or b) if you are not afraid of a bit soldering, you go my way and build your own GFD. With that you can change the cpu-clock to whatever you want without affecting the peripherals! you'll find the description at www.tomshardware.com (it's not a problem (in short): removing some resistors, buy a dip-switch and 8 * 1kOhm, solder them to the Goldfinger-Pins and go ....) you can ask me for details!

currently i am running with my k7 700 @ 900Mhz without special cooling devices!
