stupid question about evercool fan

I just bought a couple of evercool aluminum 120 mm fans. The screws they supplied (4 of them) are kinda short. I intend to mount it to or screw it to a homemade shroud...but the fan is too thick and the screw is too short...

is thtis the intention? how do you mount or screw this ting?

I would go get threaded rods from you local hardware store, and flying nuts.

Use robber grommets when tightening the nuts to limit vibrations from the fan against the shroud. :)

6-32 bolts or rod with #6 nuts and washers should do you swimmingly.

What the heck are those screws that they supplied do? too short to fit anywhere
